Bovano produces what is arguably some of the finest enameled copper art in the world. Bovano’s enameled copper wall sculptures provide colors that vary with the mood of the room, wall colors, and the ambient light. Bovano wall art seems to pop from the wall with dramatic shadows and highlights from its 3D elements. If you have an exceptionally creative use of Bovano and would like to show it off please email it to Bob Dumouchel at info@ArroyoArts.com

As you can see it is a beautiful and sunny California day and the Bovano art uses this natural light for maximum effect. In this picture you can see some of the light effect on the broad leaves as the copper base reflects through the translucent green creating a jewel-like feel. The Bovano piece with three pink orchids plays off the rose colored wall and the reddish brick on the patio.

As you enter the hallway this oak framed window space looks into the formal dining room. The Bovano hummingbird with wild roses helps transition between the wood and the gold framed floral picture. Most homes have a lot of framed pictures creating lots of solid lines and flat surfaces. Bovano with its irregular shape and 3D form helps break this up. Featured item: |

This is the corner of the formal dining room. The wall to the right of this picture includes three large windows so this end of the room gets lots of natural light. The Bovano piece helps with the transition from the large metal sculpture to the window treatments. The colors in the flower really pull the color from the window treatment into the room. The cornice board flower border also ties into this transitional space. The Bovano piece shown here is retired you can see similar ones at the Butterfly Page

This shows the top of the cabinets in the kitchen area. The space between the cabinets and the vaulted ceiling is filled with interesting objects including several large silk plants, ceramic pieces, and Bovano. The Bovano is placed on the back wall giving depth to the display and the impression of motion with the butterflies and hummingbirds. The entire effect is one where visitors can explore and find new things each time they visit. Featured items:

The door to the kitchen pantry presents an unusual decorating challenge because of the vaulted ceiling. The distance between top of the door and the ceiling line leaves a large open space that just begs to be filled but putting a picture is such a location would just look funny. The use of the wide Bovano Swag creates an interesting item to attract the eye and its irregular top line seems to extend beyond its actual physical limit.

This is a corner of one of the smaller bedrooms. The décor is masculine and most of the art is either nature or sports related. The large Bovano Gecko again helps break up all the strong square lines reducing the formal look that several pictures all lined up creates.

The master bedroom uses several Bovano pieces but the one over the bed is the only one that most would consider a centerpiece rather than an accent piece. The floral fabric used for the bedspread, curtains, and cornice has flowers and leaves that are also present within the Bovano piece. The white and brass metal in the bed headboard and footboard are softened by the more natural colors of green and pink in the Bovano and the rose colored walls really draws all the pieces together pulling the pink in Bovano and the floral fabric used in the cornice, drapes, and bedspread. The accent pillows cross the pink and white colors drawing your attention to the center of the room. The total effect is a room with warm colors and a classic formal feel with the edge taken off the formality.

Here the pink in the Bovano flower draws color from the walls, picture frame, and curtain, while the green in the moth and leaves are more neutral. This is located by a natural light source. The camera flash muted some of the drama of the light and shadows but you can still see their effect. Pictures fail in giving an accurate presentation of Bovano art because of the light and shadow elements created by the 3D art. A natural light source is not entirely necessary but it often enhances the art and creates variety in your art display.

The Armoire in the bedroom created the same décor challenge as we had with the vaulted ceiling in the Kitchen. The flat top and the angled ceiling created a focal point in the room that is difficult to fill with pictures. So we again used silk plants, ceramic, candleholder, and Bovano.

This is an example of using Bovano off the wall much as you might do on a coffee table. The Bovano flowers are displayed between two David Winter Cottages with a faceted lead crystal bowl and the entire display is in front of a three-piece dresser mirror. The effect is fun and the accent of the Bovano colors and luster really help bring the pieces together. The crystal and Bovano interact in this display because the Bovano react to the light and the mirror and crystal create interesting light effects in the immediate area.

Ok maybe this bathroom is a little over the top but we really like the new floral items. We have collected Bovano for over two decades but they just keep making it better. These new floral pieces include improved color depth in the translucent as well as solid colors. The walls in this picture are somewhat disturbing but in reality they are straight. The distortion is caused by the curvature of the camera lens not the walls. The Bovano pieces get natural light from a window just to the left of this picture and these pieces include many of the same flowers giving a balanced feel to the display.

This Bovano Gecko seems to almost be crawling out of the silk plant by the front door for that last impression as they leave the home. The entry door has crystal side panels and a matching patterned half circle window on top. This fills the entry with natural light that is scattered by the crystal creating interesting patterns and colors. The Bovano Gecko reacts to this dynamic light environment with its reflective surfaces and enhances the active light in this area.
